Zenless Zone Zero version 3.2 adds new Armorer Specialty

They have access to damage-dealing mechanics like Maim and multi-CRIT, and the ability to negate enemy attacks with Counter-Assists. The first Armorer Agent, Claret (S-Rank Electric), will be on the first half of the patch. Zenless Zone Zero 3.2 – Armorer Specialty The update goes live on Sept. 9, 2026. While there’s a lot of new content to look forward to, the biggest one is the new Specialty, Armorer. HoYoverse describes Armorer as a Specialty that “balances offense and defense.” Armorer characters are capable of utilizing the new Maim and multi-CRIT mechanics. Through these, they can deal tons of damage. Image Credit: HoYoverse The first Armorer Agent in the game is Claret Flint, an S-Rank Electric character. She can accumulate Gash on enemies through attacks. At full stacks, Gash is applied and hitting them with specific skills triggers Maim. Maim deals additional DMG and grants a Laceration DMG boost. The defensive part comes in the form of scaling: all of Claret’s skills scale off DEF. Moreover, excess CRIT Rate past 100% triggers multi-CRIT. Her CRIT DMG is also calculated as Laceration DMG. Some of Claret’s CRIT DMG is also converted into CRIT Rate. These mechanics are key to min-maxing your Claret’s performance. Image Credit: HoYoverse There’s one more thing that Armorer Agents get: Counter-Assists. They can “contest” some enemies’ control skills. Winning the contest negates the enemy’s skill and knocks them back. HoYoverse has stated that Defense Agents will also gain access to this ability in the future. Armorer Agents present players a new class of characters that can deal damage while not being too vulnerable. As ZZZ progresses, Armorer Agents are sure to be key to some content, especially boss fights.
